TLDR: One of the core major issues I found with the default plugin was that it only allowed you to save to pages, what if you wanted to save it to a default collection, maybe even quickly through the context menu? Craftmark let's you do exactly that. Just sign in, clone the sample CMS, install extension and away you go :rainbow: About Us: I'm [Ajay Mohan] am a somewhat heavy PKM user, I love craft's core principles of design first but couldn't daily drive it [ use it for personal and family items ] it because of how data was managed within the platform. I am joining this hackathon to solve all of my issues with craft so I can use it as my daily driver. I am joining this competion as a team with the help of my friend [Kaush] who's also a dev like me. We both are heavy pkm users and are looking for a better experience when using craft. ( I really want to daily drive Craft for EVERYTHING :sob: ) Craft doc with instructions: https://notes.ajayms.com/gALmjaPea0nahM :camera_with_flash: Social media post: https://x.com/waffle_ops/status/1994671883275702534 What it does: • Chrome extension to save any webpage as a bookmark (click extension icon) • Highlight text → right-click → save as a snippet with source attribution • Smart defaults: remembers which collection to save to per website • Web dashboard to manage collections, view capture history, and configure settings Built with Craft's API for collections — syncs bookmarks/snippets directly into your Craft collections with proper metadata (title, link, date_added). (TBD Might optimize and change required fields, suggestions welcome) Demo: https://craftmark-core.vercel.app/ Extension download: You'll see it in dashboard and instructions to use after logging in. Code: All source files and code will be released soon! We quickly span up some services that aren't suited for long term, [ie full sqlite to convex has a robust free tier, better for daily driving for selfhost] we'll probably post a proper optimized version that users can self host so that regardless of what the future of this project might be, there will always be a way for users to self host it for free themselves.
